Jim's maternal grandfather. Born in Canada; his family came to the USA soon after and had large farms south of Goshen, Indiana. Had a large farm south of Goshen near Foraker. Father of seven children: Jess, Henry, Elmer, Floyd, Goldie, Rose, and Fannie Mae.
