Atta Belle Gresham Eason's mother (Bill's maternal great-grandmother). Born 1866 in Marion County, Georgia. Full name was Atta Lissa Stevens — third generation in a four-generation matrilineal naming chain (Attalissa Sparks Stevens her grandmother → Atta Lissa Stevens → Attabelle Gresham → Atta Lissa's great-granddaughter). Daughter of Putnam Sparks Stevens (who helped found the town of Putnam, Georgia) and Louisa Josephine Hurt. Married William Robert Gresham in 1887; lived on the Gresham farm in Doyle, Marion County, GA. Died 1930. Find a Grave memorial 232920574.
