Henry's first wife. Born in Kastopol, Russia. They married March 15, 1911 and lived at the 811 Oakland Avenue house Henry built around 1908. Their daughter Lorena was born April 4, 1912. Emma fell ill (the family believed it was TB) starting around 1913; Fannie Mae Shafer, a 21-year-old practical nurse, was hired in 1913 to care for her and Lorena. Emma died March 13, 1917.
